Texas Public & National Holidays (2020)

Texas is the second-largest state in the United States of America. It is located in the South Central region and lies to the northeast of Arkansas and to the north of Oklahoma states of the United States, famous for its beaches, also known as ‘The Lone Star State’. This nickname signifies its former status as an independent state after separation from Mexico. The lone star is depicted on the Texan state seal and you can also see on the flag of Texas. The capital city is Austin while Houston is the most populated city in the state. It is one of the most well known of all American states. You can find the popular cowboys game Rodeo, enjoy Country music with a blend of outlaw country with traditional country sounds and have delicious Texan Chili, the official state dish of Texas.
